Interview with Dr Alan Brandt and the Managing Director of Noble Mineral Resources, Mr Wayne Norris, about using the Bio-D Mosquito Repellent lotion on the mine site in Ghana. The company distributes the Bio-D Mosquito & Insect Repellent lotion amongst its shift staff – miners, drillers, etc, – as a form of protection from being bitten by malaria infected mosquitoes. The Bio-D Mosquito & Insect Repellent lotion is also distributed to members of the mining community’s family living within the vicinity of the mine.

Dr. Alan Brandt interviews the Managing Director of Noble Mineral Resources, Mr. Wayne Norris on the ongoing MOUSTICIDE larviciding trial that is ongoing in the Bibiani mines in Ghana. Due to the nature of mines, there are many standing water sites – tyre tracks, lakes & water pools, etc, – that provide ample breeding sites for the anopheles mosquito. This trial is conducted under the supervision of the Ghana authorities, entomologist and mining staff. The trial site covers 23 communities with the application of MOUSTICIDE and the distribution of Bio-D Mosquito & Insect Repellent lotion to the communities.
